The Story

is a solo artist Heavy Metal/Thrash project.  All music, lyrics, artwork, web development, recording, and publishing were done by me in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Guitar started the evolution around 1980 in the small town of Lewiston, Maine with a couple friends Eric Gosselin (currently in Fierce Atmospheres) and Dave Caron (currently in The Benedict Crippler Band).  

Moving through different bands in the early days, there was clear influence of metal and thrash greats- Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Fates Warning, Megadeth, Slayer and of course that other band Metalli-something.  Small town shows erupted in the New England area creating a ‘wicked’ underground scene that could be seen anywhere from an abandoned warehouse, gutted drive-In concession building or even a two-story barn that could collapse under the weight of the audience, leaving the band looking down at the carnage. 

The debut album “Revolucien” was [1] ASCAP registered 05 June, 2023 and released [2] 04 July, 2023 via CDBaby with GS1. 

The lyrics focus on political and social awareness, getting involved and not letting government go unchecked. 

The music is aggressive with melodic interludes and chorus textures, with some ferocious leads thrown in for good measure.  The blend of progressive and thrash styles can be felt throughout the album and is an explosive entrance to the current metal scene.  There is no quest for touring, fame, fortune, etc- just the metal intensity and sending a message through new, heavy, in your face music.  

The development of the second album is in process and expected to be released late 2024-early 2025.
